URBAN CANOEING THIS SATURDAY!!!!!
We have 2 TIME SLOTS TO CHOOSE FROM!!
GROUP 1: The first group will be meeting at the Canoe Launch in Pinellas Park at 9:30am (See map above. The Pinellas Park Canoe Launch is at the end of 102nd Ave just west of Cross Bayou Elementary School). Group 1 will be paddling 5 miles from 10:00am - noon. Our destination is beautiful Shelter #5 at War Veteran's Memorial Park where we will eat lunch and meet up with Group #2.
GROUP 2: The second group will be meeting at noon at Shelter #5 at Bay Pines' War Veteran's Memorial Park. (See map above. Address: 9600 Bay Pines Blvd, St Petersburg, FL 33708). Lunch will be served around noon & we will begin paddling at 1pm. Our trek is also 5 miles long and our destination is the 102 Ave Canoe Launch / Take-Out. Approximate paddling time = 2 hrs. A shuttle service will be provided to get all paddlers back to their vehicles.

BROOMBALL: SEPT 17TH!!!!!
We have the rink reserved for 2 hrs (9:30pm - 11:30pm)!!! BUT BE THERE BY 9:10PM SO YOU CAN GET INSTRUCTIONS & PREPARED TO PLAY!!
Broomball is like playing hockey, but in your tennis shoes. It's a blast! This is a great event to bring family & friends to!! There are no age restrictions.
BUY MORE, SAVE MORE: The cost is $20/person, but if you buy more than 1 ticket you $ave $$$!! 2 for $35 or 4 for $65. PREPAY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT!!

WHAT TO WEAR (BRING): Must wear closed-toe shoes (no cleats), jeans, t-shirt or sweatshirt, bring a jacket in case you get cold, $20... and a few extra bucks for snacks if you want them.
 ABOUT THE ELLENTON ICE COMPLEX & LOCATION: Located 7 miles south of the Skyway Bridge & just North of the Prime Outlet Mall in Ellenton, FL, (Exit 224 off I-75). The 115,000 square foot "igloo-like" complex is a state-of-the-art facility on the Florida Gulf Coast offering recreational and entertainment activities for all ages. The complex features two NHL size ice rinks, a 13,500 sq/ft indoor soccer/football field, a fitness center, video game room, conference rooms, concessions area, birthday party rooms, Precision Edge Hockey Pro Shop, Ellenton Suds Sports Grill and the recently opened Ice Dreams Arcade, 6R Martial Arts and Our New Multi-Purpose Room. |
