UK2009 QUEST TRIP SUMMARY

A GTD "Quest Trip" is a combination of a mission trip, an adventure trip, a cutural experience trip, and a quest for Biblically based spiritual & personal growth.

On GTD's first ever United Kingdom Quest Trip (UK2009) you will visit the land of Jolly Olde England as your Quest team seeks out the places where God has inspired so many in the past and continues to show us who He is today.

UK2009 will take you to England, one of the countries of the United Kingdom. There your team will spend 6-7 days touring the sites of London, Gloucester, Cheddar gorge, and St. Briavel’s Castle. Your trip will start in London, where an “amazing race” will get you gallivanting around London, visiting all the important landmarks. Later we will be working with Gloucester City Mission serving the homeless, and listening to their hearts. The afternoon will consist of a tour through Gloucester Cathedral. Cheddar gorge is in the middle of the where the beautiful hymn Rock of Ages was penned. If the weather is good, we’ll go rock climbing, our backup activity. Next we go to Viney Hill Christian Center and outdoor adventure recreation. "Go A.P.E." high ropes course is our last challenge of the trip as well as staying at the dungeons and throne rooms of St. Briavel’s Castle (we are staying in a castle one night!!) and having a medieval banquet the last night of the trip which includes candle-making and archery.

In addition to all of the work & play, GTD will put together an entire trip that is focused on our Lord, Savior, Hero, & Best Friend - Jesus Christ. God not only wants to do something through you, He also wants to do something in you. If God only used 6 days to build the entire universe, imagine what He will do in 8 days as we seek Him first. Praise & worship, daily devotions, prayer, nightly teaching, & fellowship will help make this one of the best trips of your life!
